Multi Purpose Heavy Tile Adhesive

Provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of tiles, ensuring a strong, durable bond for both wall and floor installations

Applications:

  • Residential Areas: Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens (non-wet), bathrooms (dry to moderately wet), hallways, and corridors.
  • Commercial Areas: Offices, retail stores, restaurants, cafes, hotel rooms (non-wet), and lobbies.
  • Light-duty Public Areas: Schools, hospitals (common areas), libraries, and community centers.

Characteristics

TA600X MULTI PURPOSE HEAVY TILE ADHESIVE grey tile adhesive is a high-performance, cement-based adhesive designed for superior bonding. It offers excellent adhesion strength, both initially and in the final cure, ensuring a durable and long-lasting tile installation. The adhesive has an extended open time, allowing ample time for tile positioning before the adhesive begins to set, making it ideal for larger installations or environments requiring precise placement. It also features improved slip resistance, ensuring that tiles remain securely in place after being set into the adhesive, even during the installation process.

This adhesive is highly flexible, making it suitable for areas subject to movement or vibration, such as floors, ensuring that tiles remain intact over time. It provides moderate water resistance, making it ideal for use in areas with high humidity like bathrooms and kitchens, though it is not recommended for immersion in water (e.g., swimming pools). The pot life of FKT 200 C is up to 2-3 hours, allowing for extended work time before the adhesive starts to harden, providing flexibility during installation. Additionally, it provides excellent water retention, ensuring that tiles are securely bonded and the adhesive remains workable for an extended period.

Ingredients

  • Fine aggregates: Silica sand
  • Polymers: Modified with synthetic resins for enhanced adhesion and flexibility
  • Additives: To improve workability, water retention, and slip resistance

Suitable for Fixing

  • Ceramic Tiles
  • Porcelain Tiles
  • Natural Stone Tiles (e.g., granite, marble, etc.)

Recommended Substrates

  • Cement-based surfaces (concrete, plaster, brick walls)
  • Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles
  • Lightly dampened surfaces (do not apply on wet surfaces)
  • Floors and walls (dry and wet areas)

Surface Preparation:

  • Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and other contaminants
  • Ensure the surface is smooth and level
  • For porous substrates, use a suitable primer

Application:

  • Mix the adhesive with clean water in the recommended ratio (typically 5 to 6 parts powder to 1 part water)
  • Apply using a notched trowel and spread evenly onto the substrate
  • Press tiles firmly into place, ensuring full coverage

Curing:

  • Allow the adhesive to set and cure for at least 24-48 hours before subjecting the installation to heavy use

Grouting:

  • Can be grouted after 24-48 hours of curing
