TA350
Slip Resistant Tile Adhesive

For thin-bed installation, ideal for bonding tiles with a thin adhesive

Applications:

  • Residential areas Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens (non-wet), bathrooms (dry to moderately wet), hallways, and corridors.
  • Commercial areas Offices, retail stores, restaurants, cafes, hotel rooms (non-wet), and lobbies.
  • Light-duty public areas Schools, hospitals (common areas), libraries, and community centers.

Characteristics

TA350 SLIP RESISTANT TILE ADHESIVE is a high-performance grey tile adhesive classified as C1T according to Indian Standard IS 15477:2004. This adhesive offers excellent bonding strength and improved slip resistance, making it ideal for both vertical and horizontal tile installations. It is formulated to work with a variety of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone, providing a strong, long-lasting bond. The adhesive features an optimal open time, allowing sufficient time for tile adjustment during installation. Its excellent slip resistance ensures that tiles stay in place during application, reducing the risk of slippage on vertical surfaces. FKC 100C is also designed to be water-resistant, making it highly suitable for use in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Additionally, it has the flexibility to accommodate slight movements in the substrate, ensuring durability and preventing tile cracking. With its non-toxic composition, it is safe for both residential and commercial use, providing a reliable solution for various tiling applications.

Ingredients

  • Cement: Provides the primary bonding agent for the adhesive.
  • Silica Sand: Adds strength and improves the bonding performance.
  • Polymeric Additives: Enhance adhesion, flexibility, and workability.
  • Fillers and Stabilizers: Ensure smooth mixing, consistency, and optimal bonding properties.
  • Chemical Additives: Increase water resistance and long-term durability.

Suitable for Fixing

  • Ceramic Tiles
  • Porcelain Tiles
  • Vitrified Tiles
  • Natural Stone Tiles (e.g., granite, marble, etc.)

Recommended Substrates

  • Cement Mortar Surfaces (Concrete floors, cement plastered walls, brickwork)
  • Cement Board (Backer board in both wet and dry areas)
  • Plasterboard (For dry internal areas)
  • Existing Tiled Surfaces (Sound ceramic or porcelain tiles, after surface preparation)
  • Concrete (Cured concrete surfaces)
  • Masonry Surfaces (Brick and block walls)

Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or other contaminants. It should be smooth and level. For highly porous surfaces, apply a primer before applying the adhesive.

Mixing:

  • In a clean container, mix the FKC 100C adhesive powder with clean water in the manufacturer-recommended ratio (usually 5 to 6 parts adhesive to 1 part water). Stir thoroughly until a smooth, lump-free paste is formed.

Application:

  • Use a notched trowel to spread the adhesive evenly onto the substrate. Apply adhesive in small sections, enough to lay tiles before the adhesive begins to set. For wall installations, ensure the adhesive layer is thin to avoid excessive thickness.

Tile Installation:

  • Place tiles onto the adhesive bed within the open time window. Press tiles firmly and twist slightly for a strong bond. Ensure the tiles are level and properly aligned.

Setting Time:

  • Allow the tiles to set and cure for the recommended time before grouting. For best results, wait at least 24-48 hours before subjecting the installation to heavy use.
